Privacy Statement

Kiln takes the protection of your privacy very seriously.  We will only use your personal information to deliver the products and services you have requested from us, and to meet our legal responsibilities.

How do we collect information from you?

We may obtain information about you when you purchase our products in person and/or when you visit or purchase from our website. 

What type of information do we collect from you?

The personal information we collect from you will vary depending whether the interaction is in-person or on-line.  The personal information we collect might include your name, address, telephone number, email address, your credit card details, your IP address, what products or category of products you have purchased, which pages you may have visited on our website and when you accessed them.  If you visit our shop, we may also temporarily store CCTV images of you that are captured by the in-store security cameras.

How is your information used?

In general terms we only use the information we collect to provide, deliver and collect payment for the products you purchase.  We use IP address and website usage data to analyse and improve our website performance. Depending on which method of purchase you use (in-person or on-line) we may also use your information to:

·      deliver the products you have purchased on-line

·      understand your needs and how they may be met

·      maintain our records in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Please be assured that we will not release your information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention and detection of crime, fraud or corruption, or we are legally bound to disclose data to H M Revenue & Customs.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information that Kiln holds about you.

Once we receive your information, we seek to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given, or where you have chosen, a password which enables you to access information, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.  We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Your data will usually be processed in our premises in the UK.  However, to allow us to operate efficient digital processes, we sometimes need to store and process information in servers located outside the UK.  Where your personal data is transferred outside the EEA, it will only be transferred to countries that have been identified as providing adequate protection for EEA data, or where there are mechanisms in place to protect your personal data.

With your consent, we may occasionally contact you by post, email or telephone to take and progress orders or deliveries.  If you do not wish to receive such contact from us, please let us know by contacting us as indicated under ‘Contact information’ below.  

Your rights

Access to your information: You have the right to request a copy of the personal information about you that we hold.  

Correcting your information: We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up to date and you may ask us to correct any personal information about you that you believe does not meet these standards.

Terms and Conditions

Thank you for visiting our website. By browsing and ordering through this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. Thank you for understanding.

All images, text, design and graphics on this website remain the property of Kiln. We welcome all enquiries, but no information, images, copy and graphics can be reproduced, used, copied, re- transmitted or modified without prior written consent from us. We like to share, but please be reasonable.

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.


Ordering

All orders are thoroughly checked before processing and will not be dispatched with any defects. We make every effort to ensure that stock levels are correct, but please bear in mind that some products are hand made in short runs. This could potentially effect our stock levels from time to time.

Please note that pictures may not be to scale, so please always check dimensions. Colours are reproduced as accurately as possible but there may be some slight variation from computer screen to computer screen. If you have any queries, do get in touch for more information.

Please note that the mediums, materials and sizes may vary from item to item. Please do check the details of each listing carefully before purchasing. 

Credit Card orders are processed securely by Stripe. Kiln does not handle any credit card data for orders placed online. 

If you change your mind and want to cancel your order please let us know as soon as possible by emailing us. If you notify us and request a cancellation before your order is shipped we will gladly process a full refund. 

 

Delivery

We aim to process orders within 48 hrs. Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays will be processed the following Monday. We use a variety of couriers primarily Myhermes, Parcel2go, Parcel Force and Royal Mail. 

If you require any special service (Birthday's etc) do get in contact and we will endeavour to assist you.

Please double check the address to which you wish your order to be delivered as Kiln can not accept responsibility for being supplied with an incorrect posting address. Redelivery will be at the cost of the customer.

Delivery charges are for a fixed postal cost depending on the weight of the package. Rates will vary according to the size, weight and quantity of the item(s) ordered. The basic rate starts at £2 and increases depending on the weight of the package and the required speed of delivery. 

If a return is required then the item must be sent back safely within all the original packaging. 

At Kiln we aim to use recycled packaging wherever possible.

Kiln can not be held responsible for any damages incurred in transit. 


International Orders

We welcome international orders. International shipping is calculated by the size and the weight of the package. 

Kiln is not responsible for any customs, duties or other fees that may be incurred importing goods into your country of residence.
